• Graduating seniors applying to UTB/TSC
• Texas resident with United States Citizenship or permanent resident status
• Educationally or economically disadvantaged background
• Above-average academic performance and standardized test scores
• High school average of 90 or above
• SAT of 900 or ACT of 19
• 3 letters of recommendation
• Motivation for a career as a physician
• Additional evidence of exceptional achievement
• Interview with UTMB faculty and staff
