Grading Policy

There will be 3 in-class tests (100 points/each) and a final (100 points).
The lowest score among 3 in-class tests may be replaced by the final test score.
There will be 10 unannounced in-class quizzes and/or internet quizzes, and homework/project collecting each of which will be counted for 10 points.
So the Total points will be 500 points.
And the grading format is:

A
B
C
D
F
450-500 400-449 350-399 300-349 0-299

There is no acceptance of late homework return, because it is considered as a portion of class attendance. Only a subset of the problems can be graded, which are same for everyone. Homework problems are the best preparation for exams. You should try to work the homework problems without constant reference to the text or passively receiving help from others. I encourage to discuss problems with others for studying.
There is NO make-up test.
You have 1 week to appeal about the grading after each test and quiz/homework. I am not accepting any complain about grading after 1 week. You have the responsibility to check them.
There will be NO Curving on your final semester grade.

Attendance Policy
Attendance is an essential requirement of this course and is the responsibility of the student. Class begins promptly and you are expected to be present at the beginning and at the end of each class session.
Eating and leaving the classroom are not allowed.
